On contact graphs of totally separable packings in low dimensions
The contact graph of a packing of translates of a convex body in Euclidean d-space E-d is the simple graph whose vertices are the members of the packing, and whose two vertices are connected by an edge if the two members touch each other. A packing of translates of a convex body is called totally separable, if any two members can be separated by a hyperplane in E-d disjoint from the interior of every packing element. We give upper bounds on the maximum degree (called separable Hadwiger number) and the maximum number of edges (called separable contact number) of the contact graph of a totally separable packing of n translates of an arbitrary smooth convex body in E-d with d = 2, 3, 4. In the proofs, linear algebraic and convexity methods are combined with volumetric and packing density estimates based on the underlying isoperimetric (resp., reverse isoperimetric) inequality. A complex physiology-based empirical usability evaluation method in practice
This paper outlines the INTERFACE usability evaluation methodology developed by researchers of our department. It is based on the simultaneous assessment of Heart Period Variability (HPV), Skin Conductance (SC), and other data. One of the highlights of this methodology is its capability to identify quality attributes of software elements with a time-resolution of only a few seconds: in particular cases it can assess 2- or 3-second events. The Department of Ergonomics and Psychology at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics carried out applied research projects assessing very various software. After these, we can show different types of typical software problems identified by our method. The method of analysis allows us not only to decide what types of problems are significant to the users; however, on the other hand, the method allows us to decide, to what extent the found problems and their assessed severity concern all the users in general, or how these things depend on the type and characteris

A ReALIS statikus interpretáciĂłjának kĂsĂ©rleti implementáciĂłja
KutatĂłcsoportunk cĂ©lja a ReALIS statikus interpretáciĂłjának bemutatása. Ez a ReALIS definĂciĂłjában szereplĹ‘ kĂĽlvilági entitások Ă©s magreláciĂłk Prolog-tĂ©nyekkĂ© valĂł direkt lekĂ©pezĂ©sĂ©vel, valamint az elmĂ©k működĂ©sĂ©nek (szabályokkal törtĂ©nĹ‘) szimulálásával törtĂ©nik. A rendszerben a kĂĽlvilágba ágyazottan több interpretálĂłi entitás (elme) is szerepel, melyek szintĂ©n PrologtĂ©nyekkĂ© lekĂ©pezve tartalmazzák a kĂĽlvilágnak, ill. más interpretálĂłk elmĂ©inek (szĂĽksĂ©gkĂ©ppen torz) projekciĂłit. Interpretáció, intenzionalitás, modalitás : avagy a ReALIS függvényének implementációja felé

Modelling Different Possibilities to Use a Frequency Inverter Drive
In many fields of industry frequency inverter drive is used to generate rotation when, due to a given technology or production process, modifying the speed of the engine is necessary. In this article we introduce a model built by us, through which we present the frequency inverter drive’s principles of utilization from different fields of industry and by using industrial automation de-vices. Through this model one can be familiarized with the 4 methods created by us that can be controlled through a complex yet easy to understand and user-friendly HM
Frekvenciaváltós hajtás különböző felhasználási lehetőségeinek modellezése
Az iparban számos terĂĽleten használnak frekvenciaváltĂłs hajtást forgĂłmozgás megvalĂłsĂtására, ahol a motor fordulatszáma változtatást követel adott technolĂłgiai vagy gyártási folyamat miatt. Cikkemben egy általam megĂ©pĂtett modellt mutatok be, mellyel ipari automatizálási eszközökkel szemlĂ©ltetem a frekvenciaváltĂłs hajtás felhasználási elveit az ipar kĂĽlönbözĹ‘ terĂĽleteirĹ‘l. A modellem segĂtsĂ©gĂ©vel megismerhetĹ‘ az általam megalkotott nĂ©gy mĂłdszer, melyet egy összetett, de átláthatĂł Ă©s felhasználĂłbarát kezelĹ‘felĂĽleten keresztĂĽl tudok irányĂtani
The Kneser–Poulsen Conjecture for Special Contractions
The Kneser–Poulsen conjecture states that if the centers of a family of N unit balls in (Formula presented.) are contracted, then the volume of the union (resp., intersection) does not increase (resp., decrease). We consider two types of special contractions. First, a uniform contraction is a contraction where all the pairwise distances in the first set of centers are larger than all the pairwise distances in the second set of centers. We obtain that a uniform contraction of the centers does not decrease the volume of the intersection of the balls, provided that (Formula presented.). Our result extends to intrinsic volumes. We prove a similar result concerning the volume of the union. Second, a strong contraction is a contraction in each coordinate. We show that the conjecture holds for strong contractions. In fact, the result extends to arbitrary unconditional bodies in the place of balls. © 2018 Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Natur
Preliminary data on game meat consumption in Hungary
The ecological facilities of Hungary are favourable for the production of game animals and venison. An extensive survey was begun by the authors to study the habits of customers and domestic consumption. The aim was to map the consumers' purchasing attitude and their demand as well. The habits and attitudes of consumers were analyzed in context of natural, high added value, healthy and environment friendly animal products: the meat of game animals. Data were collected by questionnaires. The results represent a descriptive picture on the acceptance, rejection, attitudes and preferences concerning the given product categories. In the recent study we focused on the following species: red deer, fallow deer, roe deer, wild boar, hare, pheasant and mallard duck. Differences were found between the answers of the asked sample population living in cities and in the rural areas. Those people who have a negative attitude to venison are vegetarian or refuse the consumption due to emotional reasons
